4th of July weekend

This past weekend was finally sunny. It's July and we are barley seeing the sunshine. I'm serious when I say that my skin is as white as Poppy's and that is freakin white. It's not even close to her smooth and silky and perfect skin (mine is a little more rough and weathered...growing up constantly in the sun in AZ). We rocked it on the 4th. Went to an outdoor concert. Jenny Lewis and Conner Oberst played at Battery Park. Saw the Macy's fire works off the Hudson with some lady friends. Since Poppy's bedtime is 8PM now, it's so hard to balance going out at night and getting her to sleep. We've been taking turns going out and it seems to be working well. Obviously there are times when we will have to make exceptions.

Poppy's been into sticking out her tongue for a minute at a time. She's been loving how it feels. I promise she doesn't have a blue tongue....it just came out like that after some photo tweaking.
