Family Time

This past weekend my brother and sister came in town. It was good to see some family since we don't have any close to us in NY at the moment. I especially love it because Emily wants to hold her the entire time so I can get a little break. I love you Poppy! She did so well. She honestly rarely cries. She just soaks in as much as possible when we're out in the city. Her wide eyes and open mouth with drool coming down. I swear by the end of the day her clothes (and mine) are completely drenched with baby saliva. YUM. She's learning how to roll over right now and is sucking her thumb full fledge. Yikes.
Also, this past weekend Reyn's Anthropologie catalog came out. It's AMAZING. I'm so stoked for Russ and Reyn. They work so hard and completely deserve the spot light.
My sister Emily holding Poppy shopping in Soho. They love each other. She totally loves me more though.  She wants anything and everything in her mouth. Check out her freakin muscles. Ripped.

MTA Transit

I've taken Poppy on the subway tons of times, but never this exposed. She was loving life. It's going to be interesting having her grow up in this city riding the subway on a daily basis. I need to slowly introduce her to the urine smells, teach her to always check the seat before you sit down, sit down or hold onto something before the train takes off, look really serious and have you're head phones in ear (just kidding, I meant have a book in hand), and try to avoid standing too close to somebody's arm pit. She'll do fine.
This is Poppy looking out our kitchen window right before I gave her a sink bath. She's obviously out growing the bath sponge....sorry Poppy. It's amazing how babies can't get enough of moving objects or anything with shape or color. I swear I held the camera in front of her for about a minute...no reaction.

Poppy Lately

Poppy is killing me lately...in a good way. I can't even stand it sometimes. I know I have to say that because she's mine but she really is a good baby. I was at dinner tonight with Reyn and friends and all I could do the entire time was stare at Poppy. I really don't want to be one of those moms that can't relate to other adults because all they can talk about is their baby and I don't think I am becoming one of those people (I hope) but now as I'm typing this in I'm questioning that because I'm only talking about Poppy. I guess this blog thing is suppose to be about this little muffin anyway right?
She is growing SO fast. Now when I pick her up from the crib I have to use some of my muscle strength. Ok, maybe a lot of muscle strength. She is so freakin chubby. Believe me, I still have my hard moments when I wish I still had my baby less life and some more freedom, but I have to admit, she is a nice little addition.
Poppy discovering her hands. She is constantly sticking her hands and toes in her mouth. She's even started sucking her thumb which scares me to death. I know this outfit is pretty random but it suits her well. Tank top, an extra small bini, stretch pants that give her camel toe, and loafers. Yes, I did dress her.  Reyn and Pops watching some I'm a celebrity get me out of here. Her eyes were peeled on the TV.

Baby Yoda

This was taken at a Russ and Reyn photo shoot. I was on the side line saying, "Reyn...Reyn....REYN." She loves her some Reyn.

Great Idea

I found this amazing crib while browsing ohdeedoh.com. If you haven't ever checked this site out...you should. It has some great nursery ideas. This crib is made out of walnut plywood and 3form plastic. The cut out holes are filled with 3form plastic. It's homemade and I'm thinking this could be a fun project...down the road.
